The Castle of Hexenagger

High above the Schambach valley there lies a knights (hunters) castle full of history which first was mentioned in historical books in 982. The Castle of Hexenagger has been part of the royal family Weidenbach since 1834. We, family Leichtfuß and our decendants run the castle along with our helpful "castle ghosts".
Various events take place here throughout the year along with its hunting and agriculture interests.
The spring welcomes our very popular vending fair "Garden and Nature" and in summer we revive the middle ages within our historical walls. The Advents' weekends are transformed into a romantic winter wonderland.

Unforgettable Private and Business Parties

Our castle is also a very popular location for exciting private and business parties. Whether it be business conferences, unforgettable birthday parties or romantic weddings: we can organize an extensive program in accordance to your wishes. After the exciting festivities we also offer accommodation in suites "fit for a king". Allow us to advise you on the various possibilities.
Our "Royal Stables" seats approximately 250 people! Other castle locations include the Dining Salon of Princess Portia with a capacity of up to 80 people, the Renaissance Garden with Pavilion, our quaint little castle chapel and the Forester's Lodge Café.

The quaint vending fair for all garden lovers and nature friends! Over 120 vendors offering high quality goods. Cultural and culinary delicacies top off your exciting day at castle Hexenagger.

 
Halloween Extravaganza (in October)
 
Castle Hexenagger opens its iron gates in an eerie way: A ghostly labyrinth, a creepy palace as well as a night walking tour with torches around the castle walls past the dark castle cemetery, through catacombs and dungeons - all invite you to let your fears runs wild and the opening of the torture chamber leaves you horrified and amazed!

 
Romantic Christmas Market (on the four Advent weekends)
 
On the four Advent weekends we again open our gates, to give our guests from near and far a few unforgettable hours in a very special atmosphere, and with the help of our diligent "castle ghosts", to turn Castle Hexenagger into a Winter Wonderland!. The sweet smell of sugar-roasted almonds and mulled wine, over 30,000 lights, candles and torches, Christmas music, and the ambiance within the historical walls casts a spell over the visitors.
